| This was a nationally promoted event to promote the UN's Year of the Mountain. As the tea could be taken in any tent anywhere we decided to hold our event at our HQ. We made the most of having it there by getting the parent to do some work in return for their tea. |

We also held some contests between cubs scouts and parents. These were pitching hike tents, coiling climbing ropes, and putting on a climbing harness. Work completed included repairs to windows rear gable end painting and lots of gardening. |

Even the District Commisioner and his wife were there!
